Support Us

We are really happy that you have made it here.

If you haven’t read our About Us, head over there to learn more about our work and the mission of this blog.

Content creation takes time and effort. So we want to genuinely say thank you for visiting our site.

We pour hours upon hours of time into creating information-packed articles. We invest resources visiting the projects. It takes time doing photography and video shooting plus the hours editing all that content. And you know what? We love spending all that time doing this type of content!

But in order to continue this work, we rely on the support of our readers. We are not an NGO, and we’re also not totally a profitable business. We work more as a social enterprise.

Our cause is to solve the lack of digital presence that small touristic entrepreneurs have in Costa Rica by content creation. With our content, we aim to provide information as locals and experts in tourism about places that are more off the beaten path.

At the same time, we are looking to grow in order to have more training and resources to transmit to touristic entrepreneurs. We want rural communities to be able to create their own strategies to promote themselves to tourists and visitors of Costa Rica.

We need people to help us to finance these content creation projects. In exchange, we offer all our expertise in tourism, available through different services that you can obtain through this platform.

Thank you in advance for any way you can show your support. It is people like you who allow us to continue sharing the authentic Costa Rica.

How do affiliate links works?

Affiliate marketing is the way that a company or a service repays bloggers who promote their products. The blogger includes a link promotes a product, and if people click on the link, the company will provide a small commission to the blogger. There is no difference for the reader in price or quality.

Usually when you click on a link that takes you to a product, the merchant’s website will install a “cookie”.

We decided that we will never share a product that we don’t believe or that doesn’t match with our principles.

We realized that we have used affiliate links more times that we thought. And honestly, we like when other bloggers are honest about affiliate marketing and explain how we can support them in this way.

So think about supporting us in the following (easy) ways—and this applies to all the bloggers and YouTubers that you follow.

8 ways to support us (some are free):

1.Go shopping

Everyone shops online now—well, the majority of people.

As explained above, affiliate marketing can help bloggers make money through promoting products they believe in.

When you buy something on Amazon or other websites, the website that recommended the product to you probably gets a small commission. The best part is it won’t cost you anything, not even a penny.

So we will let you know when we add an affiliate link in an article and all you will have to do is your regular shopping process. Even if you buy something small, it all counts and helps us!

Outdoors stuff

Electronics stuff like cameras lenses or others

2.  Gallery

Yes, you can buy our pictures. And not just prints—we also found this cool website that you can buy your favorite picture and they will print in the item that you prefer.

For example: Rodrigo ordered a case for his cellphone with one of his pictures. We really like the quality and the case!!!

We will get a small percentage from your shopping. They offer photo prints, phone cases, and other items.

3. Let us help you plan your trip

We want to be straightforward with this part: We are not a travel agency.

We respect and like the freedom that the internet allows in letting people search, create their own plans and book where they want without someone telling them where to go.

However, we’ve noticed that sometimes people who come to Costa Rica don’t correctly estimate distances in order to create a fun trip that is also reasonable in the time they have.

So, for a small fee, we’ll help you with bookings, suggest places to visit, give you advice on your itinerary, and more.

Here are some of the benefits of having us review your itinerary and help you plan:

  • We have experience working in travel agencies since 2007. We’ve also organized trips for small and big groups.
  •  Rodrigo is a certificated tour guide who has worked as a freelancer in the past years with different recognized companies. He understands the importance of maximizing your time as much as you can.
  • We have met all kinds of travelers, from backpackers to resort-goers. We have learned how to play with budgets and the options available in our country.

Other benefits:

  • Costa Rica is a small country, but the routes (curvy and not in good shape) can make what looks like a short trip into something very complex and time-consuming.
  • Also depending on the season or a special situation, it might not be recommended to visit certain place.
  • Since we are here pretty much all year round, our idea is to provide a service of travel advisors or online concierge.
  • Also, we partner with different places that also are committed to sustainability. Our goal is to also help our readers get discounts, since they are willing to make a effort to be responsible travelers.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you or someone you know is coming to Costa Rica. We would be more than happy to assist you!
